Job Description

I am currently the president of CONSOR located in La Jolla, California. We specialize in the management of intellectual properties and the valuation of trademarks and technology.

 

Work Experience

1998 President of CONSOR formerly known as Trademark & Licensing Associates, Inc. Specializing in valuation of technology from fair market value to damage calculations in infringement cases.

 

1993- 1998 The Dow Chemical Company

Intangible Asset Appraiser. Responsible for the development of the methodologies to value intangible assets within The Dow Chemical Company. These methods are used for technology transfer within the company and outside. More than 250 different technologies were valued by these methods. Dow increased its revenue in 1998 by over one hundred million dollars by applying those valuation principles

1991-1997 Intellectual Asset Manager.

Responsible for leveraging and management of patents, trade secrets, agreements and licensing of intellectual properties and business ventures. I am involved in the development and implementation of a process focusing on the ideal road map to manage intellectual assets. This process was published in Fortune Magazine

1989 - 1991 Technical Service and Development.

Successful scale up of ceramic technology from research to pilot plant. I formulated new compositions in ceramic processing that helped Dow’s customers produce commercial quality parts. This success is due to extensive customer interaction and training on use of new products. The Dow Chemical Company funded the pilot and the commercial scale plants.

1982 - 1989 Corporate R&D.

Synthesis and characterization of polymers. Development of formulations for composites. My research interest is very broad. I carried out research on synthesis of polymers, formulation of polymer and ceramic composites, development of thermal characterization techniques and solar energy conversion. Authored six patents and several publications & internal research reports.
